Exciting news for our community! We’re thrilled to announce that Back on My Feet has officially returned to Fort Lauderdale, helping individuals experiencing homelessness regain confidence, stability, and independence through running, community, and support services.
Today’s first run was an incredible success, bringing together 43 participants, including 29 members, 7 volunteers, 5 staff, and 2 BoMF board members, all coming together to inspire, motivate, and support one another. We were also honored to have Robert Taylor, BBI’s CEO, join the morning run, highlighting BBI’s commitment to giving back and supporting initiatives that strengthen our community.
Circle Up Runs: The Heart of Back on My Feet
Each morning, volunteers and members gather for motivation and stretching before heading out on a 1–4 mile run, jog, or walk through a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood. Circle Ups are more than a workout—they’re a supportive, encouraging, and empowering space where members build confidence, and volunteers play a vital role in helping energize the group and foster meaningful connections.
If you’re in the Fort Lauderdale area, we’d love for you to join us! Sign up to volunteer here

BBI’s Commitment to the Community
BBI is proud to sponsor the return of Back on My Feet to Fort Lauderdale alongside the Taylor family, and the Salvation Army-Fort Lauderdale. Programs like this reflect our commitment to giving back and helping individuals rebuild their lives and thrive in the community.
Since 2007, BoMF has supported over 15,000 individuals, engaged 150,000+ volunteers, and helped members run 950,000+ miles while gaining 10,000+ jobs and homes. The program combines fitness, community, and accountability, starting with morning runs through Circle Up and continuing with Next Steps, where members receive career coaching, financial literacy, employment support, and housing guidance. BoMF doesn’t just start with a run — it helps people rebuild their lives and achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
Back on My Feet is more than just a morning run, it’s a community that transforms lives, empowers independence, and brings people together. We can’t wait to see members, volunteers, and the community continue to come together and make an impact!
