BBI Sponsors Fire Hero 5K: Honoring Heroes, Building Community

BBI proudly sponsored the 19th Annual Fire Hero 5K, honoring fallen firefighters and supporting their families in a day of remembrance and community spirit.

BBI proudly sponsored the 19th Annual Fire Hero 5K, uniting over 1,000 participants to honor fallen firefighters and support their families.

The Runner’s Depot Fire Hero 5K took place on September 8th at Charnow Park, Hollywood Beach, starting promptly at 7:00 AM. The 19th annual event attracted over 1,000 enthusiastic participants who ran, walked, or jogged along the scenic 3.1-mile course on the Broadwalk, enjoying a beautiful ocean sunrise.

The day kicked off with a pre-race warm-up, followed by a post-race celebration featuring food, drinks, an exciting raffle, and an awards ceremony. Participants received a commemorative race beach towel, and finishers proudly displayed their medals. Trophies were awarded to the top Overall, Masters, and Age Group finishers, recognizing standout performances.

BBI proudly supported the event by sponsoring 20 team members and their guests. Proceeds from the event went to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, an organization dedicated to honoring and remembering America’s fallen heroes while providing support to their families.

The 2024 Fire Hero 5K was a tremendous success, bringing the community together for a great cause and celebrating the spirit of unity and resilience.
