BBI Attended the BFA – Arts Mean Business Speaker Series with Emmy-nominated recording artist Alexander Star
On Tuesday, January 24, at the General Provision Downtown in Fort Lauderdale, the Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) hosted a live presentation, meet & greet, and cocktail hour with Emmy-nominated recording artist Alexander Star for their Arts Mean Business Speaker Series(AMB).
Born in Pennsylvania, raised in Tennessee, and now residing in Fort Lauderdale, Alexander Star has performed in more than 10 countries, including the United Nations headquarters, and participated in Super Bowl LIV campaigns with NFL Stars Larry Fitzgerald, Jarvis Landry, and Mark Sanchez. With a passion for making a social impact through his music, Star has helped over 500 teens in foster care write and record original music via his proprietary ‘Impact Songwriting’ workshops.
“Music is the kind of medicine people enjoy taking, so I write prescriptions based on the symptoms around me,” said Star.
BBI is a proud corporate partner of Business for the Arts of Broward and a supporter of the local arts. The Arts Mean Business Speaker Series (AMB) is one of several ways BFA supports local artists while fostering cultural vitality, creative success, and economic development.
Business for the Arts of Broward is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) engaging businesses and business leaders to advocate and educate about the importance of the County’s art and cultural community as well as to recognize the connection between cultural vitality, creative success, and economic development.
